What is the difference between UNION and JOIN in SQL?
I saw that we can use UNION to join 2 tables. But I read about SQL that we can only use Join. What is the exact difference between them?
The purpose of a join is to combine rows from one table to rows from another. The rows to be combined (joined) have to be the same, and the columns are matched (one from each table). You may have more than two tables to join, each with columns to match.
